Denise has the talent to
blend esoteric ideas with myth, legend and mystery to
create worlds where the impossible seems possible. Her
memorable characters are charismatic and yet, the readers
can easily relate to the weave of their emotional lives as
they follow the threads of their stories. Her novel,
OPALITE MOON, the second in her popular Ty Merrick Mystery
Series was nominated for the prestigious Philip K. Dick
Award for Excellence in Science Fiction. This series was
optioned by Universal Studios to be made into a television
show.
Denise has been an editor and creative writing teacher for
30 years, helping many wannabe writers to find publishing
success. Her writing/editing programs are unique to each
client. She tailors writing lessons based on what the
author needs to learn to improve his current manuscript.
Denise was also the Editor-in-Chief of the Emporium
Gazette, an ezine devoted to the art and craft of writing.
